Great Holistic Web Site

I found an amazing Holistic Website that features the problem of having an acidic lifestyle.

www.doctorajadams.com/AcidAlkaline.html

The funny thing is that it all makes sense when you understand our culture's habits. In the past I have given info on many of the things that make you acidic; from cheese and pasta to coffee and alcohol to improperly combining fruit in your meals. On this website, you'll see all of the common ailments that being too acidic causes.

With myself having blood clots in the past and having being told I have a genetic clotting disorder, this is extremely helpful. It explains why I went 4 years in between blood clots, a time that I didn't know I had this disorder, and why in those 4 years I didn't clot up. The doctors couldn't give me a reason why I didn't, other than a shrug of the shoulders, but in those 4 years, the amount of stress I was suffering from was much less, which keeps you from being too acidic, and I was coaching soccer and exercising on a consistent basis, which improves circulation.

Being too acidic helps to clog and slow circulation. It wasn't until I hurt my knee, stopped exercising, and became EXTREMELY stressed due to taking on a crazy amount of hours at work, coaching a soccer team with a busy schedule... and becoming a father all at the same time that I clotted with the DVT in my left leg and Pulmonary Embolism (Clot in the lung). I asked the doctor if the amount of stress could have been a factor, and he said no. It is tough for me to swallow that the highest amount of stress in my life could not have been the biggest factor in the clotting, ESPECIALLY since at the time I knew nothing of being too acidic, and I know I was, looking back at my lifestyle.

Many theories that fail over time usually do due to the fact that they come from the wrong perspective. Western Medicine is very focused on symptomatic issues in the body. If you have Cancer, attack the cancer. If you have arthritis, attack the arthritis. If you have pain in your back, just look at your back. THIS focus is why our culture is stuck in a rut and why many are looking at holistic approaches to PREVENT the problem all together. THIS focus is why there are thousands of side effects that in many cases are worse than the original issue. Though, while many are searching for alternative approaches, it is still difficult for people to take many of the things holistic practitioners say seriously. Especially since most are brainwashed by what they see on TV and the Internet, or what their "can never be wrong because he's a higher intelligent life form" doctor says. All I can say is that if I trusted 100% of what my doctors in the past have said... I'd be dead. I would have literally been on Vicodin and Xanax in a voluntary coma while the DVT in my leg would have grown and grown and the clot in my lung would have really started to hurt and challenge my normal breathing. Instead, I listened to my body when I knew something was REALLY wrong, went to the ER and didn't leave for a week.

NOW, not all doctors are wrong and bad at what they do. I worked on a doctor, who was quite young to be a spinal surgeon in my opinion, but sounded extremely qualified. I told her of my symptoms without relaying the actual diagnosis and she hit the problem DEAD ON. Whereas the doctor who was going to have me take the drugs and call him in a week would have killed me. She also couldn't believe ANY doctor could have taken those symptoms so half-heartedly. Well, the fact is many do.

I told a client that Baking Soda is being used to cure cancer and he told me I was crazy. He said there is NO WAY cancer could be eliminated that easily. I tried to explain what cancer is and why it lives in the body, but he was so convinced of the western approach that he wasn't interested in listening to any other perspective. He told me that it has to be more difficult than that. The sad thing is that it isn't. This client unfortunately lost both parents and two friends to cancer, all four went under Chemotherapy without any lifestyle changes and none of them survived the ordeal. While I wanted to open his mind and state the obvious; "You witnessed 4 unsuccessful treatment cases and you still believe that their method is the best out there?", I didn't for the fact that I knew I couldn't change his mind and that it was a difficult thing for him to think about.

And yes, Chemotherapy can help to kill the cancer. You just have to be strong enough to withstand the treatment, since the doctors are hitting your body with a nuke instead of sending in highly trained special forces to strengthen the back lines and eliminate the problem with minimal casualties.

I strongly encourage you to read up on what this website is stating. It is very good information, and for many of you that I see in person, I hope this might be the catalyst to get you to change your lifestyles. The luxuries of our lives leaves our body very acidic, well this site will tell you what a consistent life of unnatural and bad luxuries will lead you to.

No is the wrong word 99% of the time!

No. Tied for the most simple of words in the English dictionary. This word holds a subconscious stranglehold on each and every one of us. "No", "can't", "too hard", "I'm too weak", "no time", "can't get rid of it"... these are all things many say to convince themselves that their unhealthy lifestyle has relevance. You actually spend more time per day trying to convince yourself that living unhealthy is ok. If you have to fight the inner voice telling you "NO" when you go to buy something that isn't healthy, then LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE! That should be the only time the word "NO" has any importance. Use it to fight away the urges and temptations that cause our body to be sick. DO NOT use it to convince yourself that you can't be healthy.

The moment you think you can't, you've lost. At the same time, if you spent the same energy finding ways to succeed, you'll never fail.

The Crow and the Fry

I had an interesting day today. As I was driving home I saw up ahead a crow in the middle of the street trying to get to something on the road. I was driving in a rural area, going 35 mph and in the left lane, while the crow was in the right lane. I passed the crow, and it surprisingly didn't move from its spot. As I passed I realized what it was standing over. It was garbage from someone, I believe a happy meal from McDonalds or the such, and fries were strewn all over the ground. As I was curious to think that this crow was unafraid when I passed and how brave it was, I looked in my rear view mirror to see, with horror, this crow being hit by a car driving down the very lane the garbage was in. As the car approached, the crow made no attempt to get out of the way. Now, whether the driver saw the crow or thought it would move is beyond my knowledge. But as I pondered this sad event, it got me thinking;

This food, a french fry, seemed to make a crow unable, or unwilling, to react upon its natural instincts and retreat to safety when its life was threatened. Birds, like almost all animals in the animal kingdom, have a natural instinct to run when confronted by danger, even if food is at question. But this crow didn't. Imagine what this food is doing to us!

I have long stated that most of the processed food we eat has sugar somewhere in it. The buns in hamburgers, the milkshakes, pastas, cheese, soda, etc.. This type of sugar is not a natural source and as such is very much like a drug to all that consume it. In a book I have linked at the bottom of my site, "The Tao of Health, Sex, & Longevity" written by Daniel P. Reid, it states that Western Medicine was founded by men that first stated, "Most issues plaguing our society can be fixed with proper food and proper combinations.". That has unfortunately gone by the way side, for there isn't an money in keeping everyone around you healthy, but I've already gone down that road many times. But in this book, it also states that proper food and its combinations can reverse many of the mental issues we deal with today. Bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety and panic disorders are just a few of the popular things happening to people in today's society. What is the general treatment for such disorders? Medication and therapy.

According to this book, these mental issues can be fixed with a healthy, NATURAL, lifestyle. You don't need medication or therapy, you just need to cut out the junk you keep polluting your body with. There is also a lot of evidence that shows that depression is greatly decreased with physical exercise, something that every animal on this planet should be doing naturally. Except we have television, and the internet, and cars, and jobs that keep us sitting upright for 8 hours at a time and we don't get enough sleep to add onto it.

Some might think this is absurd and way too simple. How could you fix bipolar disorders and depression with different foods? There is no way it is that simple! If that is what you think, you have been properly brainwashed by our society and those making a profit from you, so they thank you kindly. Many have come to me and stated that there is NO WAY that sugar can be this debilitating to someones mind, let alone their body in general. Well, I just saw a crow commit suicide over a french fry. I have a seriously hard time believing that sugar isn't that bad of a thing for you. If a french fry disables the natural instincts of an animal, what do you think all of the other junk food is doing to you every time you consume it?

Food for thought, so to speak.

Zen

"You see, a man becomes older and feebler day by day. Take good care of yourself." -Ryokan

We can learn much from this Zen master. In this story of Ryokan, he went to set his nephew straight with some life lessons that the young man seemed he was immune to, as if time and laziness would not affect him ever. Too often do we slack off when involving our health. Generally, we wait until things get bad to "try" and make changes. But if you were to try and fix something that is broken, rather than maintaining it, the chances that it gets back to 100% are slim to none. Don't let your health go before it is too late.

Sit down, have a heart to heart with your inner being. Figure out who's the stronger one. Is it the one who always craves sugar, alcohol, or bad food in general? The one who wants to sit down and watch television and browse the internet throughout most of the day? Or is it the one who wants to be in charge of their life and enjoy every moment we have? The one who wants to shed 20 pounds and look and feel healthy and most of all BE healthy?

You do not know when your clock will stop ticking, so what are you waiting for? Do you need someone to tell you that you are "this close" to cancer or diabetes and if you don't make a change NOW you're in trouble? Do you need someone close to pass away due to an unhealthy life style in order to take charge of your own? Wouldn't you have liked to have been the example for that friend or family member who in turn died serving as your reminder?

We take things for granted on a daily basis. The ability to walk, the ability to see and hear, the ability run with your kids, the ability to even BE with your kids. We take for granted relative peace in our area, the beautiful outdoors EVEN when it is raining, the fact that we can breathe clean air and drink clean water. What is it going to take to finally say, "Time to take charge and be healthy."? Living healthy isn't boring, like many force themselves to believe. When you can rid the body of the addiction to sugar, rid the body of its need to sit in front of the television or internet, rid the body of consistent lethargy, then YOU finally get to see just how pleasant life can be. Step up and say enough.

You don't need junk food, or processed food for that matter. You don't need sugar, or coffee & energy drinks (get sleep), or alcohol, or cigarettes, or drugs, or anything else we find addicting. You don't need the television or the internet. The world wont go anywhere if you cut back your brain dead moments to a few minutes per day. You have time to go take a walk, or exercise, or see something insightful, or try something new. DO NOT convince yourself you don't, because then the laziness has already won!

Go out there and live your life, because there isn't any evidence that suggests you get another one. There are millions who'd give almost anything to be in most of our shoes. Don't take that for granted!!!
